LIVE MUSIC
We have a great line-up this year once again:
Harrison Rimmer - solo acoustic original singer/songwriter, all the way from Fleetwood, Lancashire (but we'll let him off as he's an adopted Yorkshireman)
Richard Halma - 'The Man With The Hat' - entertaining and very unusual mashup covers and original songs. Always brilliant to see.
Lydia Bousfield Trio - Cawood's own highly talented pop and jazz vocalist and her family backing band.
The Sicknotes of Cawood - Rockabilly / Swingabilly covers with a few pop and rock tunes thrown in, all played in the Sicknotes' inimitable 'ramshackle' style.
Michael Collinson - original songs and covers by a local acoustic solo artist

Frequently Asked Questions...
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, friendly dogs are welcome on the grounds but must be kept on a lead at all times and can't go in the Club House.
Can I bring my Kids?
Yes, we are fully family friendly. They don't need a ticket just a responsible adult to keep an eye on them. Remember we're right by the river.
Do you take card payments?
Yes we do, although we'd prefer cash due to the signal not being great.
The only place to get cash out in the Village is the Post Office Counter at The Pickled Postie, this closes at 2pm on a Saturday.

Can I pay on the door?
We are operating an E-Ticket system this year so all tickets must be bought in advance here. We sold out last year but if we have capacity on the day you may be able to get in on the door but we highly recommend getting an E-Ticket to guarantee entry.

Transport
Cawood is located 11 miles South of York and 6 miles North of Selby.
There is very limited parking within the Village so it is highly recommended that if you do plan to visit that you use Public Transport, this also means that everyone can enjoy the wonderful range of drinks we have available.

If you wish to cycle there is plenty of space at the Club House to park up your bikes.
The 42 Arriva Bus services the Village running York-Fulford-Naburn-Stillingfleet-Kelfield-Cawood-Wistow-Selby, the Saturday Time Table can be found here.

Access
The ground floor of the Club House is disabled accessible, including the toilets.
Please be aware that the dirt track leading up to the building is quite rough.
The Riverside Field can be access via the slip road.

Cawood
Cawood is a large village situated near the confluence of the river Wharfe and Ouse and packed with centuries of history. The medieval Cawood Sword was discovered here and it was once the home of the Archbishops of York. All that remains of the Archbishop's Castle now though is the Castle Gatehouse and the Scheduled Monument green space call the Garth which used to be the gardens for the Castle.
Thomas Wolsey was a resident here before he was called back down south to face charges of treason by Henry VIII, he never survived the journey and it is rumoured that the popular nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty depicts this event.
Cawood is accessed from the North by a Victorian Swing Bridge which opened in 1872 and will definitely still be open for the Beer Festival.
The Village also has three pubs; The Jolly Sailor, The Ferry Inn and The Castle Inn as well as The Pickled Postie shop and café.
