Review:
The Hole in the Wall is a very pleasant and cosy little pub tucked away on one of York’s most ancient streets within stumbling distance from the Minster and Bootham Bar. High Petergate has some quality pubs on offer and The Hole in the Wall doesn’t disappoint. Although in such close proximity to such landmarks the pub doesn’t actually have any outdoor space so these things can’t really be enjoyed with your drink. What they do have though is a reasonable range of ales on offer at the quaint bar and regular entertainment. The overall feel of the pub is very olde worlde with its low beamed ceilings and intimate seating, a very traditional and welcoming setting. As with all old building they are limited on space somewhat and the toilets are upstairs, but overall we highly recommend popping in for a drink or two.
